Have older B5100 Kubota 2 cyl. diesel with cracked head. Desperately need a head or a good engine. Also need help getting head rebuilt if that is all we can do.

I am sure a new head is pretty steep. We are Kubota dealers, but I am not at the dealership right now. I will be down there Saturday and will e-mail you the name and phone# of a salvage yard that specializes in Kubota compacts. I can't think of the name of it right now. Heck, I might just give them a call when I get down there. Just out of curiosity, I will look and see what a new head costs too. It will probably Saturday night before I re-post.

Thanks for the prompt response, we appreciate any help you can give us. We found the Kobota engine number it is Z500-1A. Could you also check on the price of a new engine, also. We have to many options with the tractor to get rid of it, so we need to try and repair it. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry that I didn't get a price on a new engine. I just now saw your reply. I did get a price on a complete new cylinder head from Kubota. It would be $635.17 with free freight. You could also check with West Kentucky Tractor Parts in Kevil, KY at 270-462-2191. They have alot of used compact tractor parts. If you want, I can call down Monday and get a quote for a complete new engine from Kubota. Let me know what you think, and I will help any way I can.
